The 8200 LR's redefine the high-end speaker category with the introduction of a totally configurable loudspeaker system. Now you have unprecedented control over the look and performance of your speakers. The 8200 LR's employ Atlantic's C.O.R.E. technology (custom optimized room enhanced). Customize the look of your speakers to match your theater's décor with real wood veneer accent panels. Enhance the speakers performance in any room with the onboard optimization switches that minimize the detrimental effects of speaker placement and room acoustics. Whether you are listening to Schubert or the Stones, or watching Schwartzenaegger, with the 8200LR's you'll appreciate the speaker's ability to capture the explosive dynamics of the latest Hollywood blockbuster or the subtle detail in a classic recording.
 
The 8200LR features the following rear mounted acoustic optimization controls
  • A 3-position High Frequency Energy switch (changes the tilt of the tweeters response, not simply how loudly the tweeter plays). This allows much improved matching of the speaker's response to different room environments. Whether you have an acoustically live (highly reflective) or dead (highly absorptive) room, you can correct for varying acoustics.
  • A Location Selector switch shelves up both the upper midrange and the high frequency output to compensate for being located behind a perforated screen or theater curtains, providing unrestricted detail at the listening position.
  • A Boundary Compensation control adjusts for placing the speakers in custom cabinets or directly adjacent to a TV delivering open and natural sound.
These ultra-high performance satellites can be combined with empty pedestals to create an impressive floor standing speaker. Alternatively, the pedestals can be purchased as part of a complete self-powered PedWoofer system, eliminating the need for separate subwoofers. Onboard equalization and remote control let you dial in the bass for all types of rooms and quickly adjust the type of bass for any source.

Real wood veneer Accent Panel Kits complement this speakers amazing sound. Sculpted panels with custom finishes include matching duraBlac, Natural Maple, Natural Cherry, Gloss Black, and unfinished MDF, for total customization. To complete the look, a beveled smoked glass top is also included with the Accent Panel Kits for the LR top speakers.
